Getting Started (exactly from the provided guide)
Step 1 — Weigh & Grind
Weigh 30 g of coffee and grind fine.
Step 2 — Water & Rinse the Paper Filter
For 30 g of coffee, prepare about 180 ml of water.
Place the paper filter into the filter cap and rinse with warm water.
Use water at 95–98°C.
Step 3 — Assemble the AeroPress
Fit the two cylinders of the AeroPress together. Invert the AeroPress and place it on the scale.
Add the ground coffee and gently shake to level the bed.
Step 4 — Brew
Pour about 30 ml of water and wait 15 seconds to let the coffee bloom.
Then pour the remaining 150 ml of water and stir so coffee and water fully combine.
Attach the filter cap to the brewer and carefully flip the AeroPress upright.
Note: Have your cup ready when flipping to avoid spills, and be careful with hot water.
Step 5 — Press
With the AeroPress now upright over your cup, press down slowly to extract the coffee.
When extraction finishes, remove the filter cap and press the plunger once more to push out the puck — this helps eject all the grounds and makes cleanup easier.
Step 6 — Enjoy
Enjoy your AeroPress coffee right away — a lovely cup created by the pressure of your own hands.
